Adult Application
PRICING & CONTRACT DETAILS BELOW
We provide what is called "Lifetime Breeder Support" with every puppy that leaves our hands AND every puppy we assist in creating (if someone uses a stud of ours, like Woodsie). This means that if for any reason at any point throughout the dog's life they are not working out in their home, we will receive the dog back and then facilitate the rehoming process. There are many different reasons for rehoming - financial issues, lifestyle changes, mental health challenges, the list goes on.

Homes are figured out on an application basis. We do not have this application integrated into our website (yet), but we do have a link for homes to fill out online, or a downloadable PDF format that can either be filled out online or printed and hand written in - scan or take pictures once completed and email it to us. Even if you are not interested in a currently available adult, we do advise that you submit an application as early as possible as we keep a list of pre-approved homes for adults and sift through those before looking at new applicants.
*** Due to a high volume of applications, please understand that we are doing our best to keep up but that our response time will vary and may be longer than normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding! ***
CONTRACT TYPES
& Pricing

ADULT PET HOME
The dog must be spay/neutered between 24-36 months of age, and will NEVER be bred under any circumstances (or may be altered prior to leaving us). Our pet home dogs do not have serious flaws - we just believe that the majority of dogs we rehome deserve to live their days out being loved unconditionally regardless of their breeding eligibility.
Homes that have proven to be capable of responsibly containing/managing an intact dog may keep their dog intact indefinitely if they wish so long as the dog never contributes to a breeding (separate agreement).
$3,000 CAD / $2,200 USD

ADULT CO-OWN
Breeder retains full or partial breeding rights to the dog. The new owner can be as involved or uninvolved as they want. Each co-ownership agreement is unique and tailored to fit each home's wants/needs. There are health testing, titling, and general ethics requirements that may be fulfilled by the Breeder, Owner, or both (or may already be done before rehomed depending on age).
This is how we keep our breeding program alive for generations to come - we personally value keeping our dogs in our home as our pets, which means we must find great homes for the dogs that we think could help shape our program's future in the right direction.
A Co-Own is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to get into responsibly breeding American Bullies but doesn't know where to start and wants a mentor OR for owners that just want a wonderful pet and take pride in helping us get closer to our goal by allowing us to occasionally borrow their dog for extensive health testing, training/titling, and possibly breeding down the road.

ADULT SHOW/SPORT HOMES
ALL Owners from every type of ownership agreement are encouraged to get involved in sports & shows with their dogs! It is a great avenue to bond with your pet. There is no additional fee/stipulation that comes along with someone wanting to show or compete with their dog in any way. We will do our best to help coach and help you along whatever path you choose to take with your dog - from sharing knowledge we have about training the sport competitively with our own dogs, putting you in touch with trainers in the area, or finding local events/clubs to get involved with. We want to see our puppies out doing things!

We do not "upcharge" for colour, markings, gender, parents, or contract type. Our adult dogs are priced the same or lower than our puppies but have usually had extensive training, vetting, health testing, titling, etc done prior to them leaving.

After experiencing the devastating loss of our dog Brick in 2023, we made a firm commitment to never find ourselves (or one of our dogs) in that position again. In an emergency situation, having to scramble for access to funds within 24-48 hours while your dog’s life hangs in the balance is an unimaginable kind of stress. In our case, I had to give them access to over $10,000 at check in and we spent over $25,000 within the first 48 hours. Unfortunately, despite access to some of the best medical experts and technology in our area, we ultimately lost Brick just 6 weeks later. While the outcome was devastating and heartbreaking beyond words, we have zero regrets about the medical care he received - we had to try.

Because of that experience, every dog in our home is now kept on full-coverage Trupanion pet insurance, including the rehabilitation and complementary care add-on. All of our adult dogs have some form of health testing completed (usually quite extensively), but even the most thorough of health testing cannot protect a dog from accidents, illnesses, or unexpected emergencies.
Trupanion coverage includes a 90% reimbursement for accident and illness care, with no payout limits, and the rehabilitation add-on covers a variety of rehabilitative therapies such as physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and most other prescribed treatments.
This policy will transfer with the dog to their new home, and we strongly recommend that our new owners keep the insurance active. While we truly hope that it is never needed, having coverage in place provides invaluable peace of mind during an already heartbreaking, high stress situation and allows immediate access to advanced veterinary care if an emergency ever arises.
Once selected to be a future home for one of our dogs, we will send you the contract for you to review and get comfortable with. After receiving the signed contract back, we will request that the full payment be made before the dog exchanges hands.
All payments can be made via PayPal or eTransfer for Canadian residents.

Due to the overwhelming majority of our applicants living in the USA, we keep our prices in USD to keep things easy. The Canadian exchange rates change daily, but on average $1,000 USD is approximately $1,300 CAD. We do not "upcharge" for colour, markings, gender, parents, or contract type. Our adult dogs are priced LOWER than our puppies but have had extensive training, vetting, health testing, titling, etc done prior to them leaving.
We offer a 30-60 day trial period on all of our adult rehomes. This is to ensure that the home is a good match – sometimes certain mannerisms or energy levels sound fine for a family on paper, but it’s a different story when the dog is in their house. We do our due diligence to prevent this situation from ever occurring, but the "no obligation" trial period makes it less stressful for everyone involved.
If at any point throughout the 30-60 days the new owner or Breeder feels that it is not a great fit long term, the owner will be fully refunded, the dog will be returned to us and the search for the perfect forever home will continue!
